About the Scags Series
The Scags Series is a 4-part set of conflicts that the character, Scags, has at various stages of her, and everywoman’s, awakening.
Rather than writing a coming-of-age story based on a male model, I chose to write about how women don’t come of age, but rather, how they awaken.
Each volume is told in a different first-person voice by Scags at the ages of 7, 18, 30 and 45 and each is set in a different season.
